Breast cancer refers to cancers occurring in the breast tissues, developed due to uncontrolled division of different cells of the breast. Bangalore, sadly, is known to be the breast cancer capital of India. Being diagnosed with breast cancer can be quite devastating for a woman. Gastrointestinal (GI) cancer refers to a group of cancers that affect the digestive system like Esophageal Cancer, Stomach Cancer, Small Intestine Cancer. They include the cancers of the upper GI tract - Gallbladder Cancer, Liver Cancer, Pancreas Cancer affecting the Hepatobiliary system and Pancreas (HPB), Colorectal cancers affecting the bowel (large intestine or colon and rectum), and cancers affecting the anus. WHO reports indicate that gastrointestinal cancer (GI) cancers are the second most common cause of cancer deaths after lung cancer with the most important reason being the failure to detect at an early stage of gastrointestinal cancer.
Relatively less reported in the past, there has been an increased incidence of gastrointestinal cancers in India due to significant changes in lifestyle predominantly due to alcohol abuse, negative effects of tobacco consumption (through both smoking and smokeless use such as chewing tobacco), changes in dietary patterns, such as low-fiber diets, an increase in meat consumption (including chicken), and exposure to higher levels of pollution (ICMR, 2016). Early gastrointestinal cancers screening and detection helps in improving the survival rate of patients.

Haemato-Oncology is a specialised field in Medical Oncology which deals with malignancy (cancer) related to the blood and the lymphatic system, which are broadly classified as leukaemia (blood cancers) and lymphomas (cancers related to the lymph nodes and allied organs). At Cytecare, the Haemato Oncology team is well equipped with clinical expertise as well as technological support to manage the most advanced and complicated cases of blood and lymphatic cancers.
Cytecare's haemato diagnostic support for haematological disorders is pivotal as the multidisciplinary team involved in histopathology, cytopathology and molecular oncology provides the most accurate interpretations and diagnosis to the haemato-oncologists. Cytecare provides a comprehensive blood cancer treatment, 16 bedded day care chemotherapy centre that is run by specially trained chemotherapy nurses, who are under direct supervision of oncologists. The centre is utilised for chemotherapy administration on a daycare basis, allowing for the cancer patient to go home the same day, thus saving both time and resources.

The incidence of head and neck cancer is highest in India. These head and neck cancers can affect the lips, tongue, mouth, larynx (voice box), pharynx, salivary glands, sinuses, and thyroid gland.
